Events in Queen Elizabeth Park
There are 15 upcoming events — details below.
We’re always keen to hear about new ideas for events, so please get in touch if there is anything you wish to see on the calendar or even if you would like to organise your own event.
Litter picking is being done all year round by volunteers on an individual basis — please contact us if you would like to help out with this.
Friends Amblers
Wednesday 10th September 2025, 14:00
Join our volunteer walk leaders for a FREE gentle, social amble around the park.
This group is aimed at those who would like to walk around the park but lack the confidence to do it alone. Whatever your level, we can support you.
There is no need to book a place, just meet at the Cabrol Road car park entrance at 2pm and wear suitable footwear for walking.
Bat Walk (1)
Friday 12th September 2025, 19:15 (provisional)
We are excited to announce that Friends of Queen Elizabeth Park have teamed up again with local bat expert, Chris Doubell from Hampshire Bat Group, to run bat walks in the park on 12 and 13 September. The evening will begin with a talk about bats and a chance to see Chris’s rescue bats close up. We will then walk around the park to spot our local bats, ‘listening’ as we go with bat detectors.
The meeting point for the start of the event is Cabrol Road car park. We will let you know if the start time and meeting place change due to weather or other local conditions.
- Please do not bring dogs.
- Sturdy footwear is recommended.
These events have been extremely popular in previous years and places are limited. Please make one booking per group and let us know now many people are coming, including you. This will help us to ensure that we have enough bat detectors for each group to share.
As per all our events, there will be no charge for the bat walks. However, we welcome all donations which will be split between Friends of Queen Elizabeth Park and Hampshire Bat Group.
