Litter picking is being done all year round by volunteers on an individual basis — please contact us if you would like to help out with this.
Working Party
Saturday 12th September 2026, 10:00 - 13:00
Join us for some friendly park maintenance under the supervision of the Blackwater Valley Countryside Partnership.
Everyone goes at their own pace. All tools are provided and a half-time ‘snack and chat’ is included.
Please meet in Farnborough Road car park at 10am. We aim to finish around 1pm.
Numbers are for this working party are limited to 18 and you must register if you want to participate. Everyone is welcome but please note that anyone under 18 must have the consent of their parent/guardian to attend. Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult to supervise them.
Friends Amblers
Wednesday 7th October 2026, 14:00
Join our volunteer walk leaders for a FREE gentle, social amble around the park.
This group is aimed at those who would like to walk around the park but lack the confidence to do it alone. Whatever your level, we can support you.
There is no need to book a place, just meet at the Cabrol Road car park entrance at 2pm and wear suitable footwear for walking.
Bat Walk (1)
Friday 16th October 2026 around sunset, exact time TBA
We are once again holding our popular Bat Walks in Queen Elizabeth Park, Farnborough, on the evenings of 16th and 23rd October.
Evening includes:
- A talk about bats from a local bat expert
- The chance to see rescued bats close up
- A guided walk through the park using bat detectors
The meeting time and place will be emailed to you closer to the time of the event.
- Please do not bring dogs.
- Sturdy footwear is recommended.
Places are limited. Please make one booking per group and let us know now many people are coming, including you. This will help us to ensure that we have enough bat detectors for each group to share.
There is no charge for the bat walks. However, we welcome all donations which will be split between Friends of Queen Elizabeth Park and Hampshire Bat Group.
